Initially, Heepsy already had a domain rating of ~70 and 444 keywords ranking in the top 10. Still, that authority and rankings weren’t relevant, as they didn’t rank for the most important terms such as “find influencers,” “influencer search platforms,” and “top influencer marketing platforms.” So, the challenge was to make this visibility effective and be found by real potential customers.
We set out a clear picture of what success in Heepsy’s specific case would look like:
Heepsy is in a competitive SaaS space, so a generic link-building strategy wouldn’t work. We created a 3-step strategy specifically for their case.
We mapped the exact ecosystem Heepsy operates in, including social media tools, marketing automation platforms, influencer software, and built backlinks from those sites to improve authority and rankings. Google doesn’t just evaluate who links to you, but also the group you’re associated with. So this placed Heepsy inside that network.
We secured contextual links from platforms like Planable and Sprout Social, along with other high-authority SaaS tools in the same category. That shifted both relevance and positioning.

To build credibility on a bigger scale, we ran digital PR campaigns aimed at getting Heepsy featured in publications that their potential clients trust. This included securing placements in outlets like Prezly and Forbes, in contexts that were genuinely relevant to what Heepsy does. Beyond the SEO benefit, these placements also just made Heepsy look good because they were real editorial coverage.

We found the high-ranking listicles for the top searched queries and got Heepsy included in them to drive both authority and keyword relevance. These pages already had Google’s trust, so instead of building new pages, we inserted Heepsy into the ones already ranking. That gave us two things at once: strong backlinks and direct alignment with the exact terms we were targeting.

We achieved and even surpassed the goals we set for Heapsy with our three strategies:
